Hello! To all my loyal friends & family who’ve supported my Christmas Run for the Poor for the past 23 years straight…. We have decided that this year we will be downsizing our giving project to include only a select number of needy families. Our project has grown over the years from taking a pick-up truck full of toys to needy kids to taking a 45 foot U-Haul & two additional pick-up trucks full of everything. The Mound Projects where we have delivered to every Christmas morning was remodeled last year & has tripled in size. Our efforts last year, with only my family of 4, was overwhelming to say the least. Even with our largest collection of toys/goods last year, we were not able to keep up with the demand of people that came out. It broke my heart to still see children not receive anything, but I realize it would be physically impossible to make that happen. In order to still keep the spirit of love and giving alive, I have come to know 5-6 families who I’ve kept in touch with over the years who are still desperately in need. I will be delivering toys/gifts to just these families before Christmas. Please contact me via FB message if you’d still like to donate toys or household items & I will let you know what I need. I’d also like to make a dinner basket of food for these families which will consist of a turkey & other items for a wonderful Christmas dinner. Thanks again for all your continued support!
