Hello Veggie Gardeners. It’s Live Question Time. Spring is so unpredictable! In this last week we have had everything – beautiful sunny days, stormy days with thunder and lightning and in some places snow and frost! If you took advantage of the sunny days and planted your garden out, but now find yourself staring out the window at a soggy situation, you may need to dash out in a break between the clouds and take evasive action. Slugs and snails love this kind of weather as much as they love your tender seedlings. Slug bait is my choice as it works. I am not convinced about sprinkling sharp stuff about the place like egg shells or sharp sand as I have seen photos of snails on razor blades before! If you have any questions defeating slugs and snails or anything about veggies at all - ask now. I will be here LIVE on Facebook for the next half hour!
