Hello all BORI (Bhandarkar Oriental Research Institute) Life members.... Sincere appeal... This year, AGBM of BORI is planned on 6th July 2013. Many of the members have not received the Annual report, Balance sheet and the invitation to AGBM. There are some important constitutional amendments planned to be discussed in this meeting. However, only the members who had attended last AGBM has been sent the above documents and remaining most of the members are not aware of plan to discuss and decide about this major change. It is a rightful duty and dutiful right of every member to be present at AGBM and participate actively in discussions and decisions of the organisation. This and this only will ensure a better, functioning and rigorous research atmosphere in our beloved organization. Some of us have already written to Secretary of BORI to reach out to all the members and discuss these important matters with participation of maximum members...and consider calling a separate meeting for the purpose. We keep on whining and complaining about functioning of our legendary organisations, but it is we who can bring out a positive change. Please go through the annual report, budget and other functioning of various departments , ATTEND THE AGBM TILL END and RAISE RELEVANT QUESTIONS ... This is the only way ahead... I sincerely appeal to all the life members, once again, to set aside time to participate in the BORI AGBM on 6th of July 2013 at Tata hall at 6 pm.... Do come and participate in crucial issues pertaining to BORI... !!! Spread this to all the members of BORI... Best regards, Saili Palande-Datar..
