Hello all. I wanted to make all of you aware of a few events happening this month & next. The venues are local and all have ties to the SE Community and are potentially good opportunities for fellowship. 1. Fellow alumni, Gray Borens band, 2 Dogs Down is performing Sat. Aug 23, 2014 at Southern Roots Restaurant. 119 East Main, Jamestown, from 7 - 10 PM. 2. 2 Dogs Down is also performing Sunday Sept. 7, 2014 from 4:30 - 8 PM: Note: This is a benefit concert/fundraiser for Emilys Kids. 3. Doodad Farms: located at 4701 Land Rd., GSO 27406: Whodat Festival Aug.30 beginning at Noon. Live music: The Bronzed Chorus, Quilla, Tab One, The Leaves, Chocolate Sundae, Mipso. I personally have not ever attended an event at Doodad Farm, but from what I have read on fb about it, I am hoping to attend this one. The Bronzed Chorus and Mipso are the only two bands that I am familiar with, and as stated above, they do have local ties to the SE Community, or surrounding area. I hope to see you at any of the above.
