Hello all, Well, we will definitely be gardening Tuesday evening from 5-7 and Thursday morning 9-11. Most of our garden has been planted except for pumpkins and winter squash, they will be planted in the next couple weeks for fall harvest. We have mulching to do and of course, the weeds are popping up so, we will have to get on top of those:). Please come help if you can, the more help we get, the bigger the impact:). If anyone is receiving these emails and would like to be removed from the list, please let me know. There is plenty to do in the gardens over the summer if you have been unable to help this spring. We need all the help we can get! A big thank you to all community service volunteers and the youth class that has been helping on Thursday mornings! We picked our first strawberries today, the FCC kids came to help out and had a great time picking some beautiful berries. We try to flag where we stop picking in each row so we know where to pick the next time. There are lots of berries yet to ripen so we should enjoy a bumper crop:). We do not spray our berries with any pesticides so they can be eaten directly out of the patch:). Hope to see lots of you tonite at the garden. I think summer has finally arrived!
