Hello all, small advert from your very favourite biologist. Im thinking of entering Food for Thought, which is an international competition about finding a solution to world hunger. Which my perspective is quite a cool endeavor, especially for engaged MUN people such as yourselves. it has a partnership with the World food program and FAO (food and agricultural organisation), which is a part of the UN that we do not really encounter through MUN conferences. Its a chance to follow through a food security mission, get some great mentors for all over the world, etc. essentially learn tons, Its a way to encounter important international issues and ways to deal with them more than with the usual conferences.Apparently people who have won, have fully functioning businesses from this. So like they say they need the world’s best and brightest university students. This is us. On a practical side, we need a team of up to five people, and you know it would be really fun, really good for our employability (as always...) and just generally such a good thing to do You can also win $10000 to fund your idea, with the final of the competition being in Lisbon. Anybody interested??
