Hello citizens of the world, This will be the first message that many of you will have heard from us in some time. Today we will be reporting on the status of Anonymous and will present an important update about the state of our movement. Please, do not be afraid. Perhaps you have heard rumors that the so called leaders of anonymous have been reprimanded, and that anonymous has disbanded under the weight of political pressure and force. Perhaps many of you have visited Youtube or have accessed Anonymous content over the internet, only to find that you disagree with opinions that Anonymous has posited about specific governments, people, or ideas - or are ambivalent in your opinions about the tactics that Anonymous has employed to defend the civil liberties of the people. Please my brothers, rest assured that Anonymous is very alive and well. We do not take sides. We hold no affiliations. We have no leaders. Anonymous knows no personal identity or time. We have no bias, but only to provide for the common defense and to protect the freedom of communication and privacy of ordinary citizens. In order to protect the rights of the individual, we have in turn discarded our individuality to become Anonymous. Ideas are neither right nor wrong, and the freedom to express them does not alter whether or not they exist. Unscrupulous use of power or force may only for a short time hinder an ideas manifestation into society. As history repeatedly shows, however, repressed ideas inevitably reappear again by means of discord, struggle, and turmoil, effecting citizens of all walks of life. These things may be prevented only by free expression, communication, and flow of information. Ideas cannot be persecuted. The more an idea is repressed, the stronger it becomes. Ideas speak for themselves. Selective censorship is not required for protection. As of now, the Bill of Rights protection against unreasonable search and collection of personal information without reasonable cause has effectively ended in the United States. Your information and all that you do is now being collected and scrutinized by corruptable human beings without your consent. The NSA, Cloudflare, Google, Twitter, Facebook, and many others have betrayed you under political pressure, and now, cable companies are attempting to put an uneven premium on access to information. In response to the growing suspicion of the people and the expanding gap between those in power and the people, we have spoken. The people have chosen their future - they will choose for themselves which ideas to accept. It is only through collaboration and debate that we may arrive at truth, not through selective censorship, and privacy is key to protect this freedom. We will provide you the tools to remain anonymous. We do not condone any use of the information that we will provide and are not responsible for the ways that you choose to use it.
