Hello everyone, And you thought the Carter USM Maida Vale live session was enough 6Music fun? Well, you were wrong! Two days later on Sunday 9th November Fruity and Jim Bob will be guests on the Sony Award winning show ‘Now Playing @6Music’, hosted by Tom Robinson. Carter will be there for the entire two hour show as they create a two-hour playlist via twitter in collaboration with you lot. I’ll post details later on exactly how it works but in a nutshell: - Jim and Fruity will curate a two hour playlist during 6-8pm live via Twitter - They will pick tracks featuring their own music or music linked to them somehow (collaborators, those they’ve influenced etc), which are all based on suggestions sent in via social media by 6 Music listeners - The hashtag for the show is #Carter6Music - Jim and Les will be in the studio during the show - and crucially also on Twitter, looking at listeners’ song suggestions via the chosen. It sounds bonkers, brilliant and very modern! It’s super that 6Music are celebrating the final gigs next weekend both with this show and the Friday live Maida Vale show. And plenty of Carter will be played on the station throughout the weekend too. 6Music really is the greatest radio station ever. That’s it for now, Marc x
