Hello everyone. First of all I would like to apologise for the bad running of the lake this year. I simply have had no time to spare to be up there working, or coming up to show people around. I have been thinking long and hard as to what to do with the lake. My final though has come to that the lake will be advertised as a general corse fishery rather than a carp fishery. We simply have no proof that there are any of the big fish left. Over the past two years there have only been 4 fish caught over 20lb. Although this does not mean that the bigger fish are not still in there. Also we simply have no funds to re-stock or fence after last years otter problem. All I can tell you is that due to the otter we lost 15 carp and 1 catfish. The biggest carp we lost was a fish known as trio at 19lb 10oz. All of the carp that were taken were mirrors. The catfish that was lost was in excess of 30lb. The figures of the lake stock are roughly 80 carp and 2 catfish. Plus all of the silver fish. I will post all the photos I have from the November netting 2013. I am hoping that by me being completely honest with people they will understand a little more. We have the issue with no toilet at the moment. I would like to ask people if they do need to go, please go out of sight and where nobody is likely to step in. I will be putting an honesty box up very soon, one where there will be a ticket written out to you with your period of time and the cost. All that you then need to do is put the money into the envelope and pop it in the box. Once again I apologise for my poor service.
