Hello everyone. I am seeking the position of SDEC for District 12…replacing Kathleen Thompson. I am asking for your vote at the State Democratic Convention in Dallas on June 26 thru 28. I am a Hispanic mother of three democratic voting daughters and a life time Liberal Democrat. I have been a Human Resources Manager for over 25 years and have lived in Denton County for the past 30 years. I am active in the Denton County Democrats…serving as the Diversity and Community Outreach Chair. I am also precinct chair for 3004 in Highland Village. I am part of the Executive Latino Leadership group in Texas founded by Jeremy Bird. I am also an active member of LULAC and the NAACP of Denton. I am the co-chair of Drinking Liberally in Lewisville which meets once a month and a founding member of the Progressive Leaders of Denton County Toastmasters group that meets every Monday. Currently I am assisting three of our local candidates by working on their campaigns in their efforts to get elected this November. I block walk, phone bank and participate in many areas of their campaigns as needed. In the past I have been an election judge, alternate judge and election clerk during our elections. As an active member of LULAC I am working to reach out, inform and register Latinos in Denton County. Working with LULAC and the NAACP I am working on a joint Candidate Forum for September. I am an active member of our Liberal/Democratic community. I would like the opportunity to represent District 12 as your next SDEC (State Democratic Executive Committee member).
