Hello everyone... I realize its been a long time since I last updated, I apologize. It has been a CRAZY last 2 weeks since Moms surgery.We had a setback last weekend after an incident (Mom had fallen and hit her head) and its been a very stressful week trying to sort things out with it. Mom has had follow-up testing done and thus far, everything appears to be on track with healing after surgery and no ill effects from her fall.Mom is doing SO incredibly well! We had no idea as to what expectations to have with her mobility or even her cognitive ability. Her memory is completely intact, speech has improved so much and is able to carry on a full conversation. Her mobility, well, we are just so amazed. She has almost full use of her left hand, only needing some strengthening and her left leg is also coming back into use. Today was a great day, she was up in her wheelchair to go for a walk (WOO HOO!) and she was sitting on the side of her bed almost unassisted for strength, only needing us to help her sit up and then just balance.Shes been cruising Facebook, she sees all of your messages and well wishes!We are still going forward with the benefit next month.
