Hello everyone. Just a friendly (and hopefully helpful) post to those of you out there hoping for a king bed while visiting Walt Disney World! I am a resorts castmember and wanted to share some info to answer some questions and comments Ive been seeing lately. Due to the fact that WDW is predominantly a family resort it is designed with families (3+ people per room) in mind. This means that the number of king beds in the hotels is extremely limited and small. There are also some categories that have no king beds at all. Unfortunately when you request a king bed we are unable to guarantee it due to this fact. We would LOVE to accommodate each and every one of you that wants it but it is often out of our hands. Please feel free to continue to request it. It makes our jobs a lot easier to know when a party of two is a couple versus friends or parent/child etc. All I ask is that you are understanding if you check in and are not given a king. You are always welcome to ask them to double check as things change on a daily basis and we are always happy to do so but if they cannot grant your request I hope you remember this humble post and realize we didnt do it out of spite or malice only availability. If anyone has any questions please feel free to ask and I will answer to the best of my ability. Also if this type of post is not allowed please let me know and I will remove it.
