Hello everyone My father is 64 yo and was diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma of the Larynx with a 5inch tumor in August thats about 4 months ago. He lives in Florida and im in NY , trying to understand what hes going through and understanding everything is a little tough for me. The drs he has met havent set any Chemo or Radiation yet and all they have been doing is having him keep going back for Scans. He is going again tomorrow to redo a scan from last month that the technician thought she saw the lymph node connected / involved with the tumor . He has had no ease with the pain meds they have given him and I can only have a 5 minute conversation before the pain becomes too much for him . I know that this message seems a little all over the place but thats how my head is right now. Does anyone have any advice that might help me understand why the doctors are taking so long and its only getting worse for him ?
