Hello everyone.. Not a whole lot to report that is new in nature. April continues to improve, she continues to get up and go the therapies, she continues to become more independent, and she continues to improve on the communication front. She is day-by-day getting back to normal... pointing out that Philip needs to get his homework done, rearranging her dresser drawers, objecting to me being on my phone too much, getting up and down steps like normal, telling me what aisle certain items are at Krogers....Oh yeah, she and I went grocery shopping yesterday for the first time since 6/18/14. Soon, I am sure she is going to be helping with meal prepartion and stuff like that. She gets up in the morning and gets ready pretty much on her own and is ready to go. Today Morrigan was sick so April stayed home with her while I took Philip to school and ran other errands. The past day or so she has been in a great mood, told me in the middle of the night last night that she loves me. It was a pretty intense evening last night, so when she told me that it made everything in the world perfect. So we are settling into the new normal and there continues to be progress. The routine is good right now and I am able to be productive both as care-giver and everything else I need to do. Please continue to pray, as your prayers have meant so much to us. I personally believe that the power of prayer has led April to this level of recovery, and will continue to lead her to greater levels of success. We still need prayer on all the areas we have been talking about. There still are tense and emotional moments for all of us. But all things considered, like I said before, if you would have told me in late June we would be at this point right now, then I would have jumped for joy. When I get down, I think of those dark days when they brought us a bereavment tray, and I look at her now. Then I think how blessed we are, and what a hero April is to us all. Thank you to the doctors who saved her, friends and family for praying, Rick and Laura for being such great parents, Morrigan for stepping into her mothers role and helping out more than she reasonably should, and Philip for giving his mom all his love and support. Most of all, thank you Lord for your healing power, and I pray for the progress to continue. Thank you again, friends! I look forward to giving another update soon. Please keep the prayers coming, and please let me know how we can pray for you!
