Hello everyone! Some friends and I started a new society called Aberdeen University Marine Society. We have just got affiliated by AUSA and now we are an active society. The Marine society is focused on the marine filed of science (as you can imagine from the name). We all know how important the oceans are and that only a tiny fraction of it is explored and yet not fully understood. The aim of the Marine society is to help students and non-students, who are interested in and passionate about oceans and marine animals welfare, to gain valuable practical skills and further knowledge in the marine science field. We offer trips to local and national research institutes and organizations, talk and seminars with University scientists and guest lecturers, volunteering opportunities and many more. Everyone is more than welcome to join our society!
