Hello everyone! Sorry Ive been a bit quiet of late. Martin Burridge thank you for posting :-) hope everyone is well. The seasonal change has really affected Ellie and she has been quite poorly since the end of August with one thing or another. Almost took her to hospital in desperation last night love her :-( cant see any other alternative to immune suppression again as her quality of life is so limited right now. I have been watching Dr Aron and his group having success for a time and that is my only other alternative at this time so I have to weigh up the pros and cons of both on Ellies behalf and decide which way to go. Both treatments have pros, both have cons. The immune suppression would dampen the severe allergic reactions too whereas Dr A would eliminate the skin issues. Not making any immediate decisions, wish I didnt have to make any decisions at all. I cant use wet bandages at the mo due to infection and the strongest potency of steroid (dermovate) I cant stop her skin from drying out, despite now using the greasiest of emollient, we put it on and within 30 mins its absorbed. She cant enjoy the sunshine too long without it irritating her skin and she can barely go to the loo without it making her cry. Im going to look into Avene and the costs involved. If anyone knows much about this can you share it with me? X
