Hello everyone. The question of the sharing of pictures was brought up yesterday. This is a topic that raises its head every now and then. Unfortunately, there is absolutely nothing to stop someone sharing one of your pictures. Once its posted in a group on Facebook its available for everyone to see and share.North Wales in themes is a public group. Please bear this mind when posting. The option to change this to a closed group is not on the cards. Some people are unhappy about this because they dont want their images shared. Others like it and see it as an honour that their picture has been shared. Clearly the image has touched someone and they want to share the emotion that they felt when they saw the image. The sharing rule can be found in the rules, which hopefully all people in the group will have read. From an admin point of view, it is not our duty to chase up the sharing of your pictures on other peoples walls. We will however chase up pictures that are being shared here and that someone is claiming is theirs. Our advice is: If you discover that one of your pictures has been shared elsewhere without your permission, contact the person who has shared it and let them know how you feel. Remember that some people share things because they genuinely give them pleasure and not for malicious purposes. If a picture of yours has been shared on this group without your permission , please contact the person who posted it privately and use the report button and an admin will follow it up. Slanging matches and discussions should be avoided. by the way, the original post has been removed as this had turned into a bit of a pointless discussion that wasnt particularly pleasant to read :) In the meantime, please keep your pictures and banter coming :)
