Hello everyone. There are two Institution of Professional Engineers New Zealand (IPENZ) events next week that you may want to participate in if you are a member of Student Engineers NZ (SENZ): 1. President’s 2013 Address to Members & Celebration of Professional Recognition, and 2. Canterbury Speed Interviewing Night 1. President’s 2013 Address: Wednesday July 24, 5:00 to 9:00 pm, The Canterbury Club, 129 Cambridge Terrace, Christchurch: First off, this is a full IPENZ member event only however the Canterbury branch is sponsoring a limited number of free tickets for CPIT SENZ members. • Includes dinner (normally costs $45) • Networking opportunity • Formal Attire necessary • Great way to start to learn about the CPEng process • Please email me ([email protected] )ASAP as there are only a limited number of tickets. 2. Speed interviewing night: Tuesday 23 July 2013, University of Canterbury, Kirkwood Village, KF03, 5:50-7:00 or 6:45 to 8:15 pm: • An opportunity to practise your interview skills • Industry & HR staff will be present = networking opportunity • Ten minute “mock” interviews will be held • Dress as though this is the real thing This is why you are here: to work in the field of engineering. If you haven’t got a job lined up after graduation, you need to attend!
