Hello everyone! This is Gage, he is a husky/lab mix, and he is - TopicsExpress

Hello everyone! This is Gage, he is a husky/lab mix, and he is about 7 years old. My brother got him as a puppy, but no longer takes care of him and I am about to have a baby and dont have the time or energy for him that he requires anymore. I am looking to re-home him to a forever home, as we are the only family he knows. The good: he is loving, affectionate, and loyal, very energetic (may also be seen as a bad at times because he is honestly very hyper), he is good with other animals/kids, and would probably thrive best with other animals. He loves long walks on the beach, and is very outgoing. He is house-trained, neutered, and up to date on his shots. The bad: when he was about a year old he was in an accident, and shattered the bone in his hip, my mom paid for him to have surgery and now he can walk on it...but after long walks it gets sore and stiff. He is needy, and wants attention all the time, now that he is an only dog in our house, it has been really hard on him. Since the accident, his mentality is more puppy-like than grown dog. He is NOT an outside dog by this I mean, he will not be happy if he is left outside on a chain 24/7. He has never been chained up, as we have a large backyard that is fenced. He can be left outside, but at the end of the day, he likes to bring in the evening with his family. He prefers a place to run. He has needs, and if you dont think you can meet them, please do not reply. I dont want to see him at the shelter or being re-homed a million times. He has a great heart, and is incredibly loving, but is hyper...he needs someone who can keep up with that. There is no re-homing fee, and he comes with about 25lbs of he food he is currently eating (Kirkland brand nutri-nuggets from 3 bears) I do ask that if you get him and he turns out to be too much you contact me first before trying to re-home him or give him away, because I need to know that he is going to people that are loving, kind, and treat their animals like family (as that is all he has known) Please comment below or feel free to private message me.
