Hello everyone...Tonights Raval route went really well. There were less people out than the usual, but we still gave away lots of food. There is still come clothing left-over which will be passed onto the group going out tomorrow night... some of them asked for mens pairs of shoes size 40-41 and female 38....I am not sure if anything else was requested as Prithika was talking with the last group while I was filling the cups with warm soup. In one of the groups I saw the little old man that I see him almost every day sitting and begging in-front of the bakery at the bottom of my street. I always greet him and sometimes give him few minutes of my time to have a chat and wish him good day. There are times when I havent had money nor food to offer him and it was breaking my heart, but I was really happy to see him tonight and being able to offer him food. The moment he saw me, he had the biggest smile on his face, like a little child excited to blow his birthday candles! Then in another group,in one of the La Caixa banks, I met a woman from Bulgaria that is very close to my home country of Macedonia. I sat down to talk to her. I have always had big empathy for every homeless person I see, but Ive never had met nor have talked to someone who speaks my native language. It was rather heartbreaking and it brought tears to my eyes. She thought that my life is difficult and offered to help me. I said no, I am good, I am here to help you. She said: it is what it is, life is life, you have to accept. She is helping elderly people, and stays over at their homes while shes looking after them. When there is no work she joins the homeless while patiently waiting for her husband from Serbia who is in prison and will be released on the 5th of April. And she has a 27 year old son who she was trying to hook me up with which I found it pretty sweet and funny. Tonights experience made me look at my life once again and be grateful for the things, family and friends I have. Doing self-less acts like what the members of Esperanca are doing is already making us part of our spiritual enlightenment. Keep Giving, keep Sharing, keep Loving. At the end of the day we are all humans, we are all One and Unconditional Love is the answer
