Hello everyone i just wanted to update you on recent events. I have found a job at a family owned pharmacy here on the island which honestly was the last place i would have thought to look for a job but i have been given the chance to learn about medicines in all their different shapes, colours, flavours and uses as well as gradually picking up some bahsan (the malay language). In return i am teaching the pharmasists daughters 15&17 how to cook. This just proves how many different oportunities travelling can give you and how much you can give back to thank those who help you. In a more personal note of events in the past week my father hasnt spoken to me since i asked him the favour of covering my rent, his responce was that he cant always be there to cover my back. Now i can imagine how much pain so many children feel because of the absense of a father, because he died, or because of something bad he did and ended him in prison or even because the other parent is keeping him away, i can even imagine the one where the parent has another family to go to. And in each of these scenarios i fell for you but i also envy you because your dad is either physically unable to be there or has responsability towards someone else. Mine has no family he isnt in jail nor does he have a restraining order. He just doesnt want to be my dad and think that that is the worst kind of pain a parent can put a child through, because he shows what value you have to him. Ive had this certain question has been rolling in my brain for a bit and i was wondering this: Why do we work? What are all the motivations to earn money? Once you know take that away would you still do the same thing? Would you still be so driven?
