Hello family!! This is Rhonda, the founder of The Arms of an Angel!! I just want to take a little time to let each and everyone of you know how much I thank you for being here and supporting us!! I wanted to let everyone know how and why I started this organization. So here goes: July 21, 2010.. my world was changed for ever!! My beloved Aryiana was born sleeping due to her having Trisomy 18. I actually found out she had Trisomy 18 in April of 2011, but I decided to keep her, and prayed God would keep her safe; matters if he let me keep her here on earth or if he decided he wanted her up there with him. I do ultrasound so I scanned her from the beginning, and from doing ultrasound for so many years I could tell that somethng was not right from the start... But I prayed and just hoped for the best. The day I got the phone call from my Dr. and heard the words Trisomy 18 (which I had never heard of before), I googled all about it.. but from that day forward I never tried to find support groups nor looked it up again until after I had her. (It was too much to handlle reading all about it) I began to write and keep a journal.. for I new in my heart from my high risk ultrasound that my beloved daughter would not make it even if she made it full term because she didnt have any kidneys. There is no way possible to live without any kidneys... But I chose to let her stay as long as she could!!! She lasted longer than the Dr.s predicted...She fought a great fight, but God decided he wanted her up in heaven with him!!! At first I could not understand why God took my daughter away from me, but I am happy to say I understand her purpose in my life, and she has taught me so much the little time she was with me!! This organization was started in honor of her!! She is the reason I havent given up and never will give up on being able to help people get through the journey of losing a child to Trisomy!!! Due to me having thyroid cancer, being a full time mom, student, employee, and now wife, I had a lot on my plate, and had to take a break from things. But now i will be able to dedicate a lot more time to The Arms of an Angel and I am asking you all for your support!! I thank you all again for everything!!
