Hello fellow Military mamas! Im a VERY NEW Army mama, my daughter is still in Basic Training. Besides missing her terribly and coming to terms with her making such a selfless and grown up decision at only 17 (she will turn 18 three days before BT graduation) all of the unknowns have been by far the scariest to deal with. We really arent given very much set information at all, im quickly learning that, in the Military, things literally change minute to minute, hour by hour, and day to day! So far I have been able to cope with all this unknown through amazing friends and family and groups of other military mamas like this one. I know that as time goes by and bigger changes and scarier unknowns become our families reality I will value this group and ones like it and will definitely be greatful for any support given to me. Im wondering if any of you that have a family member in the Army knows how realistic or common it would be right now for a female Soldier to be deployed to the Middle East right after AIT?? And if they were going to be shipped out there if they get a decent amount of notification prior to being deployed? I know they can be deployed without much notice at all so Im curious what all of your experiences have been?
