Hello fellow PAT and History Club members, We will be holding our November meeting on November 13th (Wednesday) at 7pm on the second floor of Major Williams. We will be having an internship panel, so this will be a great chance to learn about opportunities, the process, and to ask any questions you may have. Also, our November social will be Friday November 15th at 3pm in the Major Williams Atrium. The social event is the inaugural History Dept. Student/Faculty Tea. Refreshments will be provided and you will get an opportunity to meet other classmates and professors. Hope you all can come out! PAT members will receive 2pts for attending this event. Also, the PAT Regional Conference will be Saturday, March 1 at JMU. More information is provided below. The conference offers a great opportunity for undergraduate and graduate students to present their own work and exchange ideas with interested students and faculty across the region. Individual papers are welcome on any topic and book prizes will be awarded to the best papers. The deadline for paper submissions (limited to 25 pages with full scholarly apparatus) and registration is Monday, January 6, 2014. We encourage you to submit any original research papers, including work from HIST 2004 (Methods), your 4000-level Research Seminars, or any other class or project. Please add brief biographical information to be used for introductions.
