Hello fellow papillon lovers. I am looking for a bit of advice. My 8 year old male Nixon has had a GI bug for the past 4 days. Eating off and on. Better weds, then took a turn yesterday. Needless to day He saw the vet today and his blood sugar was 15! Oral glucose....IV fluids....(which I will continue over the weekend....I am an ER nurse) all other labs within normal range...thank God! My question is this: I was sent home with nutri cal dietary supplement and some high calorie food, which I have given him twice since 4:00 pm. He is improving but I am so worried! Any of you have a similar situation? Did your fur babies do okay? Thanks so much....prayers are always welcome!
