Hello found this site yesterday, I went to the first riding school has a youngster in Solihull, then Umberslade Hall, then Dark Lane. was known then has Audrey Walker then Audrey Still now. used to ride out with Lew Treece, Val, Peter, then later rode for other people. Went on many Riding Holidays with Mrs Cowell and Mrs Shelswell. Boxing horses to Wales and the Forest of Dean,. also Five days in Cotswolds Riding all day from Hotel/Pub to Hotel. some of the best times of my life. used to go and help in stables, so could take a ride out. My first pony was Seagull then Jasper, Jasper I loved all the time of Dainty in the 50s, then Merry and Rex. I loved Rex like my own, very fast and used to fly jump... Mrs Cowell had Big Ben about the time she had her daughter, before Comet who I rode, this was an honour for sure, I have pictures, having trouble getting them on here as not very good with puter pics. printer not working so taking pictures of Snaps and try to put on later. I lived in Wythall for a while when first married, then Earlswood now back in Solihull. so from a. handley to walker now still - if anyone remembers?? Lew was best man at my wedding, but sadly died after complications from a fall from his horse.
