Hello friends. Debbie Sandy here from the Non-Profit Charity HVWCA, Helping Village Women and Children of Africa and America, informing you that we will be at the Elizabethville Walmart on Sept.5th and 6th and at the Saint Clair Walmart on Sept. 19th, collecting funds for the “We Matter” program. This program is a community program that helps support children from our local communities, living in poverty situations. Please come out and give, in support of Children in need. In six hours, at the Saint Clair Wal-Mart, on August 29th, we were able to raise 200 dollars, and want to thank all that gave that day, we are so grateful for your caring attitude. We have a long way to go. I’m challenging all from Dauphin County to match or exceed that amount. Those of you who know me know I was born and raised in Schuylkill County, and have lived in Dauphin county for more than thirty years, so there is a special place in my heart for Children, suffering here in our own backyards. Funds collected will be used 100 percent for the ‘We Matter’ program, to purchase food and other necessities for needy children. New shoes and clothing will be distributed to children of families who fall below poverty level. With the poverty level at twenty one percent in Schuylkill County and 19 percent in Dauphin County and rising our help is needed more than ever. We are hoping to raise at least 5 thousand dollars, to be able to do the most good. If you have skills to offer we want and need your help. With funds permitting we will be holding a Childrens Holiday program where each underprivileged child will be presented with a holiday gift. HVWCA is a non-profit international public Charity, that is there to help relieve the depression, hunger and other suffering that poverty brings, and to help build the self-esteem of poor children so they feel they belong. This will be an ongoing project, and we are in dire need of volunteers for fund-raising, and also are open to any fund-raising suggestions if you want to help, but fundraising isnt something you want to do, we also need baked goods to sell at our table. If youre interested in donating a baked good, please drop it off at our home office at 249 Fear not Rd. Lykens Township Located off of Erdman Rd. We do not yet have a sign out but will display a banner on the evening of the 4th and the morning of the 5th we will accept your donated baked goods up until 2 PM on both days at Elizabethville and the same at Saint Clair. You can also bring it directly to Walmart between 8 and 9 AM at either location. Pease come out, in support of your neighbors and community, Thank you and God Bless. SEE YOU THERE!!
