Hello friends! I made it to Paris! Here is a little video of my flight youtu.be/6HWv_seRS0M The first thing I did was take the metro into the city. There was a Quasimodo beggar asking for money one minute in. Later on a gypsy lady was selling poems or some kind of written prayer on paper, and the other bugger yelled profanities from the other end of the train car. The locals shook their heads. A man commented on the scene to me but I have no idea what he said. I just shook my head like the other locals. The metro was comforting, very similar to Bart, and the people were diverse so many people from different places and walks of life. I arrived in my neighborhood and had an espresso at a cafe. Then I asked a handful of people where I could use a telephone. Pay phone was a fail. Then I went to an Internet cafe where they had 3 booths for phone calls. I finally got in contact with my the many I was to rent from. He met me by the cafe and brought me to my new apartment. The apartment is so lovely. I took a nap and then explored the neighborhood looking for groceries. I met a man named Bruno who laughed at me because he thought I was a clown. He showed me where to get the best cheese and where to get the best bread. He gave me a rundown on the hood. He told me that I would do very well busking and told me where to do it. les bobos? I dont know where that is but I will soon. I am gonna start working the streets tomorrow. After that I bought groceries from about 4 different shops. On the way home I was stopes by an adorable older man. He saw me and held his hand up for me to stop he looked me up and down with big eyes and said: magnifique! He then proceeded by praising my style in fast french. Bases on my response he quickly realized that I was not french. His name was Ollie Pep. He is a photographer who worked with Andy Warhol when he was young. He used to live in New York City so he has a soft spot in his inspiration for America. He told me I was beautiful and very unique and have me his number. He said he would love to take picture for me. I told him that I do a Billie Holiday impersonator show. You should have seen the look in his eyes when thinking of Billie. He confessed that she is the only singer that make him cry. He said that he has connections and will try to help me find a place to perform my show. I went home very happy and had a wonderful dinner. I tried to stay up as long as I could so I could calibrate to Paris hours. It is now 9:30 am and I am about explore some more! I love it here! Thanks again to everyone that has made this possible! More video and pictures soon!!
