Hello friends, This is last minute in one respect and that is that Darryl and I both have art displayed at Liquidambar Gallery in Pittsboro with an art opening tomorrow (Sunday) from 2 to 4 pm. The artwork will be up during the whole month of December. Liquidambar carries jewelry, paintings, pottery, sculpture and much more so its a great place to shop for Christmas gifts. We are participating in the Redbud Artists Show at Liquidambar. Our development is called Redbud and there are many artists who live here. We were all given an opportunity to share 3 to 5 pieces of our artwork at the gallery. Mine isnt what I usually do, its a bit more experimental and is motivated by my concern for the environment and especially vanishing species. Darryls work is a range from functional pieces to ceramic sculpture. The story started out as a childrens ebook but is now available in print. It has evolved a lot since I first published it in its ebook form. I rewrote a good bit, changed the cover, added illustrations and found the help of an editor. As far as genre goes, I call it environmental fiction but it could also be viewed as science fiction/adventure and its best for grade school children, ages 7 to 10 (approximately). I just got a very nice review on Amazon that tells what its about better than I ever could.
