Hello friends! Were back from the break and in the zone! Christmas and New Years were great. Lots of relaxing with the families in Charlottesville. Many cookies were made and much food was eaten. Even got Kitchenaid mixer. (!!!) Were now back in our respective cities. I (Will) am currently in Nash cranking out new songs. I feel good about whats been coming recently, and its going to be really hard to narrow down to an albums worth once we get in the studio. Its been so nice to be home and able to settle into a writing routine. Im up around 9:30, go get coffee, then work all day. Once Im burnt out on the writing part, Ill spend the rest of the day/evening working on other band related stuff. Dinner, then a movie or reading and more writing until its bedtime. Somedays I dont even leave the house and just write. What a dream! Were so pumped for the Mat Kearney tour. If theres one thing for sure, its that well be playing a bunch of new songs. Its always nice to try some out in front of real, live people like yourselves. Feedback is always immediate, and you can know very quickly if something is going to work or not. (For better or worse.)
