Hello friends and neighbors!! Just wanted to write a quick post about the ballot... I have heard several people say that they were voting No for the school levy because they wanted to save money. I would like to respond to that. Good schools bring good families into our town. When families with children are looking for a place to move, I can almost guarantee that the quality of the public schools weighs heavily on their decision. I am very concerned that if the quality of our schools decline, so will the quality of our town/neighbors/community. My argument is that if it is money you are concerned with, which believe me, I understand, I would try to look at the bigger picture. (For example, if you intend to sell your house down the road.) Not to mention the safety of our community depends on members who value good schools for their children, in my opinion. In short, please consider the quality of life we enjoy in our town. No one will want to live here if we dont offer good education, good schools, good teachers. Thanks for considering.
