Hello friends, listeners of Radio Punjab AM 1110, today is a wednesday, a day of story telling, m going to present a story RAZAI (Quilt) written by VEENA VERMA of London, England. Veena verma is a famous story writer. In this story RAZAI, she describes the fate of a punjabi woman, whose husband marries an English woman n does not sponser Indian wife and two children. On arrival of the family in london he compells them to go back to India and left them in a barren house of his friend, where no water, no elecy, no heat n nothing to eat. On the third day that Indian woman Banso nocks the door of a neighbiurer, a retired Indian army punjabi person, who helps them a lot and nurish the family like his own. The very first day the quilt offered by neighbourer becomes a central motif of the story. Banso throughout her life does not allow anybody to touch this quilt because she feels the quilt is a link between her and FAUJI, whom she considers her God like lover, companion. Its a wonderful story, must spare time to listen in my programme VIRSA TE VARTMAN from 4 to 6 pm today.
