Hello from Cheyenne, Wyoming while still on the road but headed - TopicsExpress

Hello from Cheyenne, Wyoming while still on the road but headed home to Carson City. Women to Women has appreciated and truly enjoyed getting reacquainted with our country. While steering westward to the Great Plains we visited such cities as Madison, Wisconsin, Minneapolis, Minnesota, Kearney, Nebraska and now Cheyenne. As much as we would have liked, the Chaneys did not invite us for dinner; however, Little Richards will do just fine. The harvest season has begun with the wheat, hay and corn. With Carol coming from the midwest and loving farms, she is glued to the black angus cattle and the bales of winter feed for the livestock She is exclaiming to the Chef next to her that he really needs to come up with a BEEF paella for the next show...the chef is sneezing over and over again from all the grain particles in the air from the cutting of the crops. He can;t even hear what his wife is so excited about, let alone see it! Each one of these states is larger than most European nations and they are unique unto themselves. Wisconsin is absolutely lush and green with an elegance in Madison rarely found in most state capitals. The people are quite refreshing in their viewpoints, and fiercely loyal to their local products such as cheeses and dairy products. Nebraskans are open, friendly and very trusting of their environment. Perhaps too much so. The cornhuskers believe very much in being helpful and protective of their neighbors...a great trait. Upon entering Wyoming one can see the beginnings of the Rocky Mountains (although far in the distance) and a brand new topagraphy to the land.from.upheavels of glaciers and volcanic activity.. Cheyenne is beautiful, expensive and changing, but with an independent spirit quite alive in everyone that says Bring on the change. We can handle it! We are such a diverse nation with a diverse population which could be divisive, but the vast majority of those we have spent time with are American by birth or by spirit. They love this nation and will defend it. Are they concerned, even worried, or discerning about trends away from traditions? Yes. Do they believe in change(s)? Yes, when necessary. Has the spirit of cohesiveness been destroyed? No, but the nation and strong traditionists may have to strive harder to protect what has always made America exceptional in this world. That seems to be the consensus of most that we have spoken to recently. America is STRONG, and America is UNIQUE...no question about it. To those who want to tear it apart or to tear it down, remember, friends, we fought that war from 1860-1865, and we are prepared to protect its borders from within and without AGAIN. From the road, Women to Women
