Hello members. I have had enough with all the senseless good for nothing violence. Real Men Challenge will be spawning several ideas to combat this issue and other issue such as unemployment, Blight and the lack of quality education in our school systems for our children. I have one idea that I will put on the table with you all now. I will be in need of legal advice on this to see how we can do this. So if anyone know of any good lawyers please let me know. But in the mean time, I am in the works of talking with some executive security training services that could professional train sincere men and women who want to see there communities do well and crime free and or reduced to a very low rate. Picture this, you know how our fire department has fire stations all over the city in strategic locations to service a certain mile radius within proximity? their boundaries over lap in the event that the fire is to big for one station, they can call their neighboring station to assist. Well I would like to duplicate this with Trained executive security teams. We would put Security stations throughout the city in strategic locations just like fire houses. They will be equip with everything need to patrol as well as sleeping quarters. Even more, this will be a paid position for the teams. We will have 3 shifts at each station, They will have patrol cars, Uniforms and bikes, etc They can walk and ride bikes on patrol in the summer months. Now we are not here to talk or try to take the place of the police whom are overwhelmed. We are here to aid and assist the police by being extra eyes and ears for them. Our security teams will have all the latest communications equipment they need to get straight to the police for quick response. However, the security teams will be professionally trained in self defense as will and may have needed devices such as pepper spay, handcuffs, maybe stun guns, just short of carrying fire arms. Now I am not advocating that our security teams attempt to go out and arrest anyone or be placed in harms way. I first options is to contact the authorities if they see something suspicious or developing. However, there is a such thing called a citizen arrest. I had to do this once myself. I was at the home depot on west 7 mile and Myers and I was coming out and I saw a young man run past the door and an elderly lady in pursuit of him. I asks her whats wrong and she replied he snatched my purse. I immediately took off running behind the young man and caught up with him. I tackled him to the ground and we begin to fight. However, he was hurt from the hard tackle that he could not put up much of a fight. I was able to give him a left and a right and subdue him if you know what I mean. Anyway, by the time the elderly lady got to where we were she was out of breath, I told her to pick up her purse that the young man had dropped when I tackled him. She did, then I told her to go back and get home depot security while I held him pinned to the ground. She took off back to the home depot. They came and handcuffed him and took him back to their security office, I had to come as well to speak with the police for the report. My point is, that situation was happening right before my eyes and I had to act not thinking about my own safety, but the fact that the elderly lady was in trouble and in need. So I made a citizen arrest. Now I am not professionally trained and was able to do that. So think if we have professionally trained security teams in place. Again, I am not advocating that we try to go out and arrest anyone. First option, call the police. We may only engage if someone is in serious trouble right there in front of us at the spur of the moment. Some child, elderly person, etc... Secondly, this will be a paid position for the security teams. In doing so we are creating a form of employment as well. There by address to of the issues on our agenda. If we are going to be successful we have to have a game plan to attack Crime Blight Unemployment and poor educations. They young men and women out there in the street committing these acts of violence need some help to. We have to let them know there is a better way and that the dont have to do violence to try to get money or for any reason for that matter. But we do have to have things in place to help change their thinking. Not just empty talk. Marching and Protest is good I am all for that. But we have to have jobs, help programs, and clean and conducive environments. Many parts of our City is in such poor shape, run down and more. This plays a part of how some of us think. We have to change this. I have several real ideas and I am sure many of you do to. We have to bring them all to the table. This is going to take a serious group effort and some time to make this happen to heal our City of years and years of abuse. We need to create entrepreneur within our great city so that jobs will be available. But we will talk about that on the next round. With this said, this is why we will need to get lawyers involved to know the law and the extend of what we can and can not do in terms of the executive security teams. If you have any thing to say here or any questions please feel free to post. Thank you my Real Men Challenge Family. Thomas
