Hello my brothers and sisters in EMS. I have a huge question and favor to ask of you. This is my last resort. I have tried everything. With the job market being as it is, I have been applying for every job I am qualified for in the medical field and others. I have yet to find a position within the field, and the others are saying I am over qualified and turn me away without an offer. Last month, the house I have been living in, paying rent for, to a dead beat landlord, was sold at foreclosure auction. The bank bought it for a steal. 2 weeks ago, their agent came to the house and informed me I have until Jan 7th to get out. Granted, they are helping with moving expenses, but the amount is no where near enough to cover moving or a down payment on a new place. I am unable to move into an apt due to having dogs. They are my babies, and I will not get rid of them. I also have my mother I need to take care of. My father originally told me he had a couple of thousand to help with. He has been living with me for the last 2 months. Well, I just asked him again to get an exact figure. He said he can help with the monthly payment, but he needs to buy stuff for his new place. He needs curtains, and toilet paper, and new paint, and to stock the pantry fully, and buy a lawn mower. You know, all of the things that are more important than his daughter and ex wife having a roof over their heads. If I set up a GoFundMe account, would anyone help me out? Even 5 dollars would be a great amount at this point. If you cant help with money, would you be willing to share the link? I am usually the one helping people, never asking for help, and giving the shirt off my back. ~ C
