Hello my dear friend, be blessed with one of my series of sermon on prayer. I hope you enjoy reading. GBU PRAYING YOUR WAY TO BREAKTHROUGH. Matthew 13:24-27, Jesus told them another picture-story. He said, “The holy nation of heaven is like a man who planted good seed in his field. During the night someone who hated him came and planted weed seed with the good seed in his field and went away. When the good seed started to grow and give grain, weeds came up also. “The servants of the man who planted the seed came and said to him, ‘Sir, did you not plant good seed in your field? Why does it have weeds also?’ The man who planted the seed said, ‘Someone who hates me has done this.’ The servants asked him, ‘Should we go and pull the weeds out from among the good grain?’ Time and time again we discover that prayer is a vital instrument that every believer needs to go through the journey of our Christian race if you are to win. Every Christian must develop the habit prayer. If you watch without praying, you will be at the mercy of your enemy the devil who is giving you a very close marking to stop you from making any reasonable progress on your pilgrim’s journey. The good man who planted the good seeds in his field had laboured but could not backup his effort by covering his back so that the devil who is looking for where to destroy will be kept at away from his effort. This is what the enemy specialises in doing. John 10:10 says, the robber (devil) comes only to steal and to kill and to destroy. I came so they might have life, a great full life. In Act 12:1-11, when Herod got hold of James the brother of John and cut off his head, we were told because the Jews applauded him, he became intoxicated and went ahead to apprehend Peter to do the same thing he did to James to him but the church then realised that if they don’t rise up to do something about it, any of them might be the next target. The church woke up to pray. They prayed with so much intensity that even when their prayer had been answered they kept praying. Don’t wait until something evil happen to you before you start to run here and there. Prayer changes things, prayer shapes destiny, prayer delivers from prison, prayer will save your marriage, prayer will heal that sickness in your body. There are so many Christians who are in the prison of life today and yet they move about as if they are free because people don’t see the chains they are carrying. If Jesus Christ was in the habit of sneaking out from the crowd and from His disciples to spend hours and hours in prayer, then you and I must think twice to know that the only option we have to our survival is prayer. In Matthew 26:36-45 Jesus secured victory over death through prayers. We are told in scriptures that as He prayed, the sweet that was oozing out of His body was like thick blood. When He broke through in the place of prayer, He then came out and told His disciples to now sleep and rest as His heavenly father has assured Him of victory. We must pray constantly to push back and weaken the hands of the enemy over everything that concerns us as Satan is never going to rest until He finally have his way (1Thessalonians 5:17). I pray for you that Satan will not have His way in your family, business and your carrier, your spiritual life in the name of Jesus. A prayerless Christian is not only a powerless Christian but a complaining Christian. You must also get to understand that God does not like people who Mormon and complain over everything because the devil knows that God hates this kind of attitude, he will push you to do it so that God will hate you. Be wise child of God and be addicted to prayer. Prayer will take you to where ordinarily you would not have dreamt of getting to. Wise up my beloved and wake up to pray and your victory will be guaranteed. See you at the top. Shalom.
