Hello, my name is Jordan Garcia and I love movement. My movement journey began in high school, I was that 15year old skinny fat kid looking to get in shape because I had always wanted to be a Marine, so I joined the track team and started to try to get in shape. When I started out my mile time was 12:31 (please save your laughter more embarrassment to come), I couldnt do a single push-up or pull-up, after about two month I had gotten my mile time down to 8:56 (still sucks) but I had quit the track team after the first race I had because everyone finished about 2 minutes before me. Skip ahead a few months and I still couldnt do a pushup or pull-up so I decided it was time, I began training everyday with a set of 10lb dumbells doing a bunch of random shit I thought would make me stronger, and started doing push-ups on my knees. But it all had paid off in August of 2011 I had achieved my first pull-up and my first dip. The school year of 2011-2012 I joined weightlifting class and got into bodybuilding for a few months, also began taking an anatomy and physiology class. Soon I discovered the Barstarrz and began going crazy with pull-ups, dips and pistol squats, so I guess you could say I was a calisthenics guy. I saw the incredible strength of gymnasts and discovered Gymnastics Bodies. On January 1st 2012 it was my New Years resolution to achieve a handstand, one month later I was able to hold it. I was the upper body gymnastic strength guy for a while until I discovered Ido Portal on a Rawbrahs interview, it really made me take a step back and realize all the things I had been neglecting and that there is more to life than planche and iron crosses. So I began practicing parkour and freerunning at Urban Evolution which is where I work now, I learned John Sapinoso used to work there to! Now I am trying to learn more, move more and expand my knowledge every day.
