Hello, my name is Josh Culler! I live in Hammond, IN about 20 minutes from Chicago. First off I apologize for the long video, I just wanted to make sure I explained everything. I have come up with a an idea I wanted to present to you guys. I have 2 side notes I would like to note, then I will say what my project is about. I am an artist, I sketch and draw just about anything and I have received a lot of business doing drawings for people, but I wanted to find a way to use my talents to benefit someone else besides me, but to also do something special for others. Im sure some of you have heard of people taking Christmas gifts to homeless shelters, orphanages, hospitals and other places. So i decided to create a plan to go to childrens hospitals and take them gifts on Christmas Eve. The way I will raise the money is for every dollar donated, I will put your name on a small paper, so if you donate $5, your name will be written down 5 times and so on and so forth. On December 20, I will end the donations and put every name in a bucket, and pull 3 names. The first name, I will do any drawing on a 18x24 poster size sketch pad. The second name will get to choose something for me to draw on a 9x12 sketch pad, and the 3rd will get a drawing on a smaller sketch pad. Now every single cent donated will go to buying gifts for children at 3 hospitals I have lined up: the Community Hospital in Munster, IN, the IU health La Porte Hospital in La Porte, IN and the Memorial Childrens Hospital in South Bend, IN. This is a non-profit project so as i said, every single cent will be put towards buying gifts. And on Christmas Eve, I and several family members and friends will go to these hospitals and surpise these hurting children. Imagine your child in the Hospital over Christmas Eve....the expenses from the medical bills and your hands being tied not able to give your child something special for Christmas. I have titled my project the Hope and Strength Project because i want to give these kids hope for a better tomorrow and strength to make it to that day.
