Hello.. my name is Victoria, I work full time and have 2 dogs who I spend a lot of time out and about with, but when Im at home I like to spend my time crafting, making things and sewing.. Im always looking for new ideas of things to make and enjoy sewing.. Every xmas for the last 4 years, I spend some of the money I make from selling my things to buy goodie bags, made up of toys n food n blankets and take them down to our local dog rescues open day.. We have cake n tea and do the lucky dips and tombola to help them raise more money.. This year the shelter shut down so I was planning on finding another shelter to give to.. The shelter has since reopened on a smaller scale, but.. I then came across the problem of my sewing machine breaking down (it is really old, it was my nans before I had it and Ive had it 13 years.) I tried to buy the parts and fix the machine but with no joy.. so I decided to buy a new machine.. I found the Singer One.. it looks to be a brilliant machine with 15 years parts and labour warranty. . And can do everything I need. I started saving for this machine and was doing well until my Chihuahua Chloe took ill suddenly and needed emergency treatment. . The vets in fact wrongly diagnosed her and cost me a awful lot of money. . She subsequent died as they wasted vital time and never treated her for her illness.. (The Royal Collage of Veterinary Surgeons are now investigating the vets) but putting all my efforts into getting justice for Chloe has left me unable to support the dogs charity this year due to being driven skint by the vets and having to spend a lot of time writing to the Royal collage.. not leaving me time to raise money. I am still also no closer to getting the sewing machine. what I am asking of anyone who would like to support is that they help me towards costs of the machine and materials. Like the plasic dog and bear noses and packs of eyes and ribbons for collars. I would like to buy lots of different fabrics. I buy all my fabric from charity shops.. I use old skirts, trousers, jackets, jumpers anything I think I can use like wools n tweeds and old sheets for backing fabric.. that way charities benefit from the very start.. I plan on making soft toys like the staffy in the picture and making cushions out of old fabric and jumpers and doing as much as I can between now and next October. . Then I will auction all the items of on ebay in the lead up to xmas 2015.. ebay takes about 10% of final value and 15% of every sale will be donated to a dog rescue.. (remaining money will be put back in to buying supplies and covering my cost to keep this project going year in year out) I have chosen that I would like to give to the LASR Little Angels Staffy Rescue.. Next year.. having a staffy myself I know what bad press they get and how hard rescues find it to rehome them.. I hate the thought of dogs being in kennels at chrismas but realistically I cant have them all come live with me as much as I would like to.. but I can help them best I can. If you would prefere not to support me but would like to support the LASR charity they can be found on facebook.. you can sponsor dogs and they have a amazon wish list.. If not this dog charity please consider supporting any.. they need so much help especially this time of year.. * gofundme/sewmuchlovefordogs * * littleangelsstaffierescue.co.uk/sponsor-a-little-angel * * littleangelsstaffierescue.co.uk *
