Hello parents, This is a final request for volunteers to help with our New Year’s Invitational Meet this coming weekend (Friday – Sunday, January 23-25). We are especially short of volunteers for the following: Scaffolding setup on Friday morning (8 – 11 am). Experience is not necessary, but we need some strong volunteers on deck, and also, if you can, for assistance in the water (only a few volunteers are needed in the water). If you have not seen our set up for this meet before, it is amazing to behold – our volunteers build scaffolding walkways width-wise across the pool, for the officials to use during the Meet. All this is constructed in about 2 hours. Timers for Friday (11 am – 6:30 pm). Food preparation and service: ALL SESSIONS, but particularly Friday and both sessions Sunday. Please join us in the kitchen to prepare food for all our volunteers, senior officials, and the coaches of our visiting teams (a mind-boggling 80-90 people at any given time). Again, no experience is necessary. These are the approximate times volunteers need to be in place for the sessions this weekend (other than set-up volunteers on Friday): Friday: 11 am Saturday Morning: 7:30 am Saturday Afternoon: 1 pm Sunday Morning: 7:30 am Sunday Afternoon: 1 pm PLEASE HELP! Please remember that in order to satisfy your PPP requirement for the January 31st deadline, you have to have volunteered at either the LMR Distance Meet (Dec 6th) or the New Year’s Invitational.
