Hello, people! This is a post to clear up some horrible mean-spirited rumors being circulated around Presidency about Anusandhan 2013. They say this event is the brainchild of a certain prominent West Bengal Govt. Minister. The next step in this campaign is obviously to claim that Anusandhan is a event organized by a certain leading political party of the state and that certain sections of the student body and certain faculty members are conspiring to create a sleeper cell in Presidency and allow the tendrils of external political influence to pervade this institution once again. THESE RUMORS ARE NOT TRUE. I repeat, NOT TRUE. Anusandhan has as much to do with any political party as it has to do with little green men from Mars. Anusandhan was conceptualized by current students of the University and is being organized by Presidency University itself with assistance from enthusiastic faculty members and students from all departments. Any conspiracy theory which says otherwise is an abominable and unacceptable insult to the uncounted hours we have put into this labor of love. We are not politically affiliated in any way whatsoever. The only ideology we believe in is that Presidency was once one of the best educational institutions in the world, and can be again. I strongly urge these saboteurs to abandon their foolish charades and to help us make Anusandhan a roaring success. This is STILL your fest. -A concerned student member of the organizing team P.S.
