Hello, team. Im back from Veeping in Baltimore for about two seconds, giving me just enough time to make this sad announcement: Trying Again has not been picked up for a second series. Its a great shame because we had an awful lot more of that story to tell. Bit of a bummer to leave it on a cliffhanger, too. Simon and I are incredibly proud of the show and very grateful to have got to work with such an extraordinarily talented cast and crew in making it. Its exactly the show we wanted it to be, and you dont often get to say that in TV, sad to say. Thanks to all of you who got in touch to say you liked it. Its meant a lot to us. Thanks, too, to the lovely people of Kendal, where we made it. Maybe well get to finish telling you the story some other way one day. Meanwhile, we just have to leave Meg in that car and wonder what she did when shed called Ian.
