Hello: this is a dual-purpose missile...er, message. Hi, normally, I just enjoy following the posts here as a fellow-travelling lurker. But today, I am asking one of the members of the group to get in touch with me. I just dont know WHO that member is! See, some months ago, I promised one of the members I would donate two copies of my novel Fire With Fire (see below) for a charity auction. I want to say it was for an animal issue, possibly a shelter. Sometime after my last attempt to contact this person, FB nuked a whole bunch of my Messages (how Id been communicating with this person). Long story short: I still have these two copies of Fire With Fire, sitting in a box, waiting to go as soon as I get the address again. I figured the lady in question would recontact me when I didnt produce the goods for her, but I have not heard anything. If, kind lady, you read this, please message me--either to get the books (either for this charity auction or the next), or to let me know that theres no further need for them. Either way, Im sorry not to be in touch sooner, but I REALLY did not want to use the groups page as the equivalent of a lost and found message board! (As I have now done: sorry...) While Im here, I want to thank all of you for your warm welcome here in the group, and/or at Honorcon I, or at cons where youve introduced yourself since. You guys are great--and of course, I reserve special gratitude for the many of you whove been kind enough to buy Fire With Fire and the next in the series, Trial By Fire. And a special thanks to you, David Weber, for your generous words about the books, and wonderful endorsement of them. Praise from Caesar, as they say... Obviously, for anyone interested, there are free sample chapters on the Baen site. Lastly, if any of you know (or suspect you know) the lady who was running the charity auction I referenced in the first paragraph, please either let her know I was looking for her, or contact me with her contact info.
