Hello to all! I have a question which has entered into my mind recently and I am having a hard time finding an answer to it online (not for lack of trying). It is regarding the dower the husband presents to his wife at the time of marriage. My question is, what if the wife is the one who has given the husband the dower to pay to her? For example, while they are reading their vows to one another on the day of their marriage, and when it comes time for the payment of the dower, the husband turns to his wife and asks her to give him money (which is her own and not his) in order to give to her. Does this make the dower null and void?
