Hello to all! We would like to invite you to attend our upcoming meeting on Marxism & Religion. This meeting is open to all, whatever your views, and we welcome people of all creeds to attend and share their perspective. Our guest speaker for this meeting is David Szuster, organiser for one of the Glasgow branches of the Socialist Workers Party. David is currently working on a book on a Marxist perspective of religion and has shared a few words to introduce the topic. The meeting will provide a discussion of Marxs theory of religion that is the basis for a progressive secularism and freedom of religious expression. I present this as a view against the reactionary atheism of new atheists like Richard Dawkins, right-wing Islamophobic secularism as seen in France and anti-religious Stalinism. All believers, agnostics and atheists unite for a socialist revolution! No matter what your creed you are still exploited by the rich!
