Help! Im having a major attack of Genre Focus Disorder (GFD). I have three active writing projects: a novel ready for editing, a sequel to a novella thats started and still beckoning to me, and a short story follow-up in a developing series. So what happens? Im out of town last week, in my hotel in the evenings, and a non-fiction book I planned on getting to later this year or early next year grabbed hold of me. I spent two evenings in research. Last night that project got ahold of me also, and I started work on the Word file. Last time my GFD was this strong I lost two months to all other projects. Then, today, I found an illustrator for my poetry book, which I wasnt going to work on till September. Is there no cure for GFD?
