Help! The Friends of Salt Plains Refuge have been working for some time trying to find ways to increase water at the Great Salt Plains Lake. There have been several things put forward but working with a project involving Federal and State Government agencies is....challenging. Richard and Sid have put many volunteer hours into this and the Friends even have an account set aside strictly for restoring the lake. What we need are more people with fresh ideas, enthusiasm, and willingness to volunteer the time needed to bring the goal of restoring the Great Salt Plains lake to fruition. IF you really want to see the Great Salt Plains lake with enough water to produce fish for wildlife and people then PLEASE come to the Friends Board of Directors meeting Sat. March 29th, 9 A.M. at Salt Plains Wildlife Refuge Headquarters or contact us on face book. Thanks!
