Help Us Fill the Vick Fighting Shed with...Shoes! Dogs Deserve Better has begun a Sole for a Soul shoe collection drive running through December 7. The drives purpose is to spread awareness about the correlation between animal and human issues while raising funds for the formerly chained and penned dogs residing at our Good Newz Rehabilitation Center. We all feel passionate about memorializing the dogs that were tortured and died on this property when it was owned by NFL star Michael Vick, so our goal is to collect enough soles to completely fill up one of the sheds where Vicks Bad Newz Kennels practiced organized dog fighting. In addition to helping Dogs Deserve Better continue their efforts to rehabilitate formerly penned and chained dogs and place them into loving homes, the shoes will benefit MicroEnterprise partners through Funds2Orgs and be shipped to developing nations for impoverished people to incubate and grow a unique business opportunity. The shoes provide the means to feed, clothe, and house their families. Our goal is to acquire 7,500 pairs of shoes.
