Help a Mom Out: Im sure many of us can relate to this one. She writes: My son is 12 almost 13. He is the sweetest kid you will ever meet. We have a soft diagnosis of Aspergers. He fits most of the criteria and we are awaiting a full diagnosis. He does poorly academically and struggles terribly with peer relationships. I can help as mich as we will allow with school work but I have no idea where to begin to help him gain social skills. At a school function tonight I was nearly in tears seeing the other students work and nothing of my sons because he could not complete at a level he or the teachers wanted on display as well as my son wandering g around alone as other peers were running around like crazy together. Im sad amd just do not know how to help.
