Help... making a cake to say welcome to OFSTED (school grading inspectors) who are arriving tomorrow at 9pm. Just realised I have forgotten to add the milk, opened the oven door to think about putting mixture back into mixing bowl to add milk. Decide since it now has a slight crust that wont work so shut the door of the oven. Now worried 1. its supposed to be a victoria sponge but it has no milk will it be ok? 2. Ive just opened the door at a crucial time on a crappy victoria sponge, will it be ok? Answers urgently needed....do I deliver the crappy cake? What should I do Tracy Cocks Thompson serve or think of something else?
